Coordination includes ensuring clients are provided with correct information regarding time, location, prerequisites and precautions to secure safe and effective intake, transport, surgery and return. Additionally, coordination includes arranging staffing for the transport shuttle to assist in completion of appropriate paperwork, collection of funds, tagging of pets, labeling crates and safe and secure loading of transport vans. Monitoring includes maintaining communication with the spay/neuter clinic and with the client to best serve the interests of the clients and their pets, thus ensuring the best possible outcome. SNAP will work with Louisa County residents to create a fee schedule and payment plan that is within their budget. Funding for this is provided solely by grants and donations. At this time SNAP is unable to schedule or offer services to owners outside of Louisa County. Please visit the tab "Related Links" for a list of lower cost spay neuter clinics. SNAP has also instituted a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program for feral cats in Louisa County. Since our inception, we have provided services for over 13,000 animals in Louisa and surrounding counties. |
